Welcome back to the 4th installment of San Marcos Smash 4’s Regional Event, TGL!

We’re giving those of you who buy your ticket online at texasgamerslounge.com 3 slices of free pizza! Tickets are only $10 (this means you’ve paid venue), which gives you access to 85+ freeplay games ranging from the classics all the way to the modern era of gaming!

Tournament Info:
*Venue/Ticket – $10 (either online or in person, buying in person will not award you free pizza, but online will)
*Singles- $5
*Doubles- $5/person ($10/team)
*Pizza – $1 a slice

Doors will open at 11:00AM
Doubles will start at 12:00PM
Singles will start at 3:00PM
Venue will close at 11:55PM

SETUPS:

TGL will have 15 TV’s to use for the tournament, so no need to bring TV’s or HDMI cords…only functioning Wii U’s (with full DLC), and GC adapter!

For the first 15 Wii U’s we use (see what I did there?), TGL will refund the half of the venue fee in person ($5).

*TARDINESS/LATE POLICY*
We respect everyone’s time, and so should you. Please account for traffic and other factors, and assume we will be starting promptly at 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm. for doubles and singles, respectively. We will call matches under the assumption that all players are present. If we call a match with a player not currently present at TGL, we will start a timer. If the player in question is not in the venue after 20 minutes, they are moved into the loser’s bracket. The timer continues, after another 10 minutes they are removed from bracket entirely.

If a player is on the loser’s side of bracket by natural causes and leaves the venue and their match is called, a timer starts. After 20 minutes, that player is eliminated from the tournament.

This policy is more than generous, and you are agreeing to this when you sign up for the tournament. Expect little to no leniency, please be on time!

Even if you tell a TO you’re just leaving for a bit to get food, please keep in mind the tardiness policy still applies. Plan ahead, and take advantage of TGL’s pizza!

RULES:

TGL will adhere, for the most part, to the nationally accepted rule set and format. If you are unfamiliar with tournament rules and game play, please post and ask in the discussion section, or refer to pages 3-6 of San Antonio’s google document linked below:

We will go by these rules and format, with a few caveats:
– 2 stock, 6 minutes for singles (not 3 stocks)
– 3/5 games for winner’s finals, loser’s finals, and grand finals (not loser’s semis)

PAYOUTS:

Singles payouts:
Less than 32 entrants – 1st 60%, 2nd 30%, 3rd 10%.
32 to 48 – 1st 50%, 2nd 25%, 3rd 15%, 4th 10%.
48 to 64 – 1st 50%, 2nd 25%, 3rd 15%, 4th 5%, 5th 2.5% ea.
64+ – 1st 40%, 2nd 20%, 3rd 15%, 4th 10%, 5th 5% ea., 7th 2.5% ea.

Doubles payouts:
1st 50%, 2nd 25%, 3rd 15%, 4th 5%, 5th 2.5% ea.
